Borewell
In a borewell, which can range in depth from 100 to 1500 feet, a PVC pipe with a diameter
of 6 to 12 inches is used to pump water out of the ground for irrigation. A borewell is a hole
that has been bored into the ground.
In Borewell, how do we obtain water?
Borewells often extract water from "restricted deep aquifers," or underground rock strata
where water is compressed and held in place between the fractures of the rocks. Water
seeps down the layers of rock to build these aquifers over many years, maybe even
centuries.
The benefits of Borewell are extensive and benefit an entire village.
Donate a Borewell for $450 each.
